Ideagen Internal Audit (Aura): which email address is used for sending emails?
Ideagen Internal Audit (Aura) can be configured to send email:
- For password resets
- For notifications, such as action updates, document requests, rejections etc.
- In addition, the Robot performs a self-test on start, and Robot jobs can be tested manually
Email settings are configured in more than one place in the system, and the table below shows:
- where configuration appears
- what each address is used for
| Location of config | Used for |
|
Service\Web.config FBA\Web.config WebUI\Web.config (In each file, the FromAddress key) |
|
|
App Manager: System Settings > Email > Email.FromAddress
Desktop app: System Settings > Email > From Address
(both applications control the same underlying setting) |
|
|
App Manager: System Settings > Email > Email.TestAddress
Desktop app: System Settings > Email > Test Address
(both applications control the same underlying setting) |
|
You are likely to want to ensure that addresses used are consistent, and must ensure that the mail server is authorised to send for that address (see Ideagen Internal Audit (Aura): Robot service does not start, error "5.7.1 Client does not have permissions to send as this sender" appears in log for more information on this problem).
