Scenario

You click on a hyperlink in some external system, expecting to open Ideagen Internal Audit (Aura) and be taken to a particular record or attachment.  Instead, Windows shows the error :

You'll need a new app to open this visionProduction link

MS Office applications may show the error:

Cannot open the specified file

Solution

This occurs because Windows cannot locate the path where the specified Ideagen Internal Audit (Aura) instance is located, either because the application has not yet been run on the PC or because the VisionLinkSuffix value has been changed since Ideagen Internal Audit (Aura) was last run.

The solution is to run Ideagen Internal Audit (Aura) via its shortcut, and then click the hyperlink again.
