Unblocking downloaded files in Windows

No special access or permissions are required.
Whenever you download a file through your browser, Windows scans it for potential threats. It will block anything it deems a risk to help protect your system.
We are aware that some of the files we ask you to download to complete feature or troubleshooting guides may also be blocked by this mechanism. This article shows you how to unblock them.
1. Unblocking files
To unblock a file:
- Right-click the file.
- Choose Properties.
At the bottom of the "General" tab, you will see this security message.
- Tick Unblock.
- Click Apply.
You can now open the file.
Only download and open files found in official Ideagen spaces, e.g.: Ideagen branded websites or your support tickets.
