The audit trail may appear blank

When clicking on the audit trail icon for a record, you may find that the popup screen is empty.
This article explains what causes the issue and how to resolve it.
1. Issue
If logging is enabled, various screens will display an audit trail icon in the properties panel:
Clicking on this will pop up a box showing the audit trail for the selected record.
When the popup is opened the list of changes is filtered by date, and you will see only changes made within the last 7 days. For example:
Here, we see that:
- No changes have been made since the 'From' date (which was a week ago, today is the 22nd July)
- There is data to show. Note the prompt:
2. Solution
- Click on the grey bar to show the filter.
- Change the From date to an earlier date.
- You will then see any changes made since that date:
Note that the default filter date is fixed to -7 days, and cannot be changed.
