Users of Internal Audit synced to Retain

No special access or permissions are required.

It can be useful to know whether a record appearing in Retain was added directly in that application or synced from Internal Audit.

This article tells you what to look out for.

1. Differentiating record sources

There are two clues in the Retain data:

• The Job and Resource records both contain a field called *_Text1 (which may be aliased as Vision GUID). If a record is added in Pentana, then this field contains some random text.
• Job and Resource records both contain a field called *_FromPentana_BIT (which may be aliased as Imported from Vision?). If a record gets added in Pentana and is sync’d to retain, the value in this field = 1.

Both of these fields are hidden by default.
