Creating chart widgets
Who is this article for?
User who need to create a widget chart.
No special access or permission are required
Chart widgets allow you to visualise data from different perspectives and can be customised to display the information most relevant to your needs.
1. Opening the chart creation interface
To create a new chart widget, follow these steps:
- Open the Tiles selector.
- Click the + icon located in the top right corner.
- Select the required perspective for your new chart when prompted.
2. Configuring chart data and format
To customise your chart appearance and data, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Chart Data tab.
- Select the required categories for your chart.
- Choose the aggregation method you want to apply.
- Navigate to the Format tab.
- Configure how you want your chart to look.
- Review the chart properties displayed on screen.
- Edit any properties as needed before saving.
Note: Charts are set to private by default but may be shared with other users.
3. Understanding available widget types
The system provides several pre-configured widget types to display different aspects of your data.
3.1 Entity Details
This widget provides read-only basic information about the audit, including:
- Name (for example, Cardiff Branch)
- Organisational unit (for example, UK)
- Entity type (for example, Manufacturing)
- Entity category (for example, Branch)
- Active status (true or false)
3.2 Entity Risks by Inherent Score
This widget displays risk information based on inherent scores.
3.3 Entity Risks by Residual Score
This widget displays risk information based on residual scores.
3.4 Entity Controls by Rating
This widget shows control information organised by rating.
3.5 Actions by State and Priority
This widget displays actions categorised by their current state and priority level.
