Creating an entity risk register
Who is this article for?
Administrators who need to create Entity risk registers.
Administrator access to the Universe module is required.
Entity risk registers can be created by selecting objective templates and their associated risks, controls and tests from the library, which helps standardise registers across the organisation and aids analysis.
1. Creating a register from the library
The main route by which an entity register will be created is by selecting objective templates and their associated risks, controls and tests from the Risks, Controls and Test Library. This method will help to standardise your registers across the organisation and processes, and aids analysis.
- Navigate to Entity Work
- Risks, Controls & Tests
- Select Get From Library from the ribbon.
This will show a dialogue window with the corresponding library objectives, risk and control templates. This list is defined by matching to the mapped processes for the entity.
- Select the required objective templates and their associated risk and controls in conjunction with the option to include attachments, assessments and results.
2. Using alternative methods
Another method for getting objectives, risk and controls into the entity risk register is to get them from another entity or audit. Additionally, objectives, risks and controls may also be imported from other entities and audits.
The user also has the ability to add object risk and controls singularly by using Add from the general toolbar on the ribbon.
