Ideagen Internal Audit (Aura) WebUI: Dates display in US format in Chrome / Edge, despite PC’s region settings
Users might find that in the Web module dates are displayed in the US format MM-DD-YYYY, even though their PC settings are for a locale that uses DD-MM-YYYY (e.g. UK).
This is because Google Chrome and MS Edge do not take their regional settings from the host PC. US format is the default, inherited from the browser’s default language setting. In this case it is necessary to specify the correct language in the browser settings.
In Google Chrome
- Put into the address bar: chrome://settings/languages
- Expand the Language panel, and ensure your language is at the top of the list. You may need to add it, using the ‘Add languages’ button:
- Click Relaunch when done
In MS Edge
- Put into the address bar: edge://settings/languages
- Click on Language in the sidebar, and ensure your language is at the top of the list. You may need to add it, using the ‘Add languages’ button:
- Click Restart when done
