Locking library items
Who is this article for?
Administrators wanting to know about locking library items.
Administrator permissions are required.
Locked items allow central administrators to ensure specific Work Plans, Steps, Objectives, Risks, Controls, and Tests must be included in each Entity or Audit without modification.
Locking items
Work Plans/Steps (WS) and Objectives/Risks/Controls/Tests (ORCT) can be auto-populated or manually added to an Entity/Audit. Once added, they can be fully edited and may differ from the original library item.
Central administrators can use the Locked property to require end users to include specific WS and/or ORCT in each Entity/Audit without changes.
Working with locked items
The locked functionality includes:
- Locked flag against Library items to indicate if they can be changed once added
- Ability for the library administrator to lock or unlock items within the Library
- Locked flag against Entity/Audit items to indicate if they can be changed
- Restrictions to prevent locked items from being edited (definition part) or deleted
- Ability for a senior user to lock or unlock items within an Entity/Audit
