Ideagen Internal Audit (Aura): Completing a Step or Work Plan may update an Audit Milestone date with today’s date
When you complete a Step or Work Plan, the date of completion might overwrite a date that has already been entered against an Audit Milestone.
For example, in the Audit Planning Work Plan is a Step called 01 – Research Background. Setting this to Complete will cause today’s date to be populated in the Audit’s Start Audit Milestone.
This is a configuration option. The template for the Step contains a dropdown list which shows the available Milestones. If one of the Milestones is selected in this dropdown, then this Step will update that Milestone in the Audit when set to Complete.

In order to prevent the Audit Milestone date from being updated, in the Steps Library set the Milestone field for the Step to blank and save the change, i.e.:
Work Plans can also be set to update Audit Milestones, though note that by default none are.
