Updating Retain's Job Client Name field when changing Client Ref or Client Title in Internal Audit
Who is this article for?Users syncing to Retain, particularly using multi-client implementations of Ideagen Internal Audit.
IT and Database Administrator permissions are required to resolve the issue.
Ideagen no longer provides guidance on use or configuration of the Retain applications. Please contact support at Retain International for further detail.
In an Internal Audit system that syncs to Retain, the Client Name synchronises with the Retain Job field Client Name. Changing the Ref or Title value in Internal Audit does not cause the Retain Client Name to update.
This article describes how to fix the issue.
1. Issue
In an Internal Audit system that sync's to Retain, the Client Name synchronises with the Retain Job field Client Name.
Even in single client mode, the default value is pushed into Retain.
This is more apparent in multi-client mode, where Client Ref is more likely to be displayed.
The Name value is made up of the Client’s Ref and Title. It is expected that changing the Ref or Title in Internal Audit would cause the Retain Job.Client Name field to update, but a bug in the Robot job prevents this.
2. Solution
If the Internal Audit Client Ref or Name have been changed and need to be changed in Retain, then it is necessary to update Retain's JOB.JOB_CLIENTNAME value directly in the Retain database.
