Ideagen Internal Audit (Aura): Dashboard widget has disappeared from the tile gallery
Users can add widgets to the Ideagen Internal Audit (Aura) Home screen. These are selected from the tile gallery:
It is possible for users with powerful enough roles to create new Aggregate Grid and Chart tiles, and all tiles can be set with an audience of Public (where they can be viewed by all users), or be limited to users with certain roles, or to be Private (where they can be viewed by only the owner).
It is possible to inadvertently set a tile that is owned by SYSTEM to private, and this means that the tile disappears from the gallery completely.
For example:
Normally, My Points appears as a tile in the Data Grid section:
If edited so that the Audience is set to Private while the Owner is System:
. . . then it will no longer appear in the gallery, for any user:
As the tile is hidden from all real users, the solution is to run the attached database script. This will reset ANY tile that has been hidden in this way.
To run:
- stop the Ideagen Internal Audit (Aura) robot service
- stop the Pentana application pools
- if Retain is used, stop the Retain Server service
- back up the Pentana database and verify
- if Retain is used, back up the Retain database and verify
- run this script - it should run without error
- restart the Pentana app pools
- restart the Ideagen Internal Audit (Aura) robot service
- if Retain is used, restart the Retain service
- verify effect of change
