Troubleshooting record with Ref and Title having a blank Name
Many types of record in Internal Audit have a 'Name' field, which is a combination of the Ref and Title, e.g. Audit:
The user does not enter the Name. Normally, Internal Audit will combine the Ref and Title and automatically create the Name value.
However this can sometimes stop, in which case you will see a record with a Ref, a Title and a blank Name:
This issue can appear as a result of a temporary problem with the main service, where the service creates a record but does not combine the Ref and Title into the Name field.
Solution
You can cause Internal Audit to fix the name by doing the following:
- Click on the record
- In the Properties panel, edit the Title (e.g. add an X at the end)
- Internal Audit will fix the name
- Edit the Title again to reverse your change
If this problem appears it is possible that multiple records of different types are affected. Affected records can be found using database script Ideagen Internal Audit (Aura) - Find rows with empty Name.sql
